March 27, 2009: New Novel ‘Hold the Dark’ released in April!
Friday, March 27th, 2009Anyone who enjoyed ‘The Mister Trophy’ and ‘Dead Man’s Rain’ might be interested in knowing that the third book in the Markhat series will be released next month by Samhain Publishing!
‘Hold the Dark’ will be released as an ebook on April 19, and as a printed book in early 2010. I thought I’d mention the ebook here because a lot of you might prefer it that way, and after all 2010 is a while to wait.
I’m excited about ‘Hold the Dark.’ It’s a much longer work than either of the previous Markhat stories, and that gave me a chance to delve a lot deeper into Markhat’s world. Mama Hog is back, of course, along with some new faces that I hope you’ll enjoy.
And the fourth book in the series is also well underway. Unless the title changes, it will be called ‘The Banshee’s Walk,’ and I’m hoping to have it done and submitted this year. A sale isn’t certain, of course, but if enough of you gentle readers pony up the three bucks and change for the other books it’ll make the submission and review process a lot less nerve-wracking, hint hint.
If ‘The Mister Trophy’ was about greed and ‘Dead Man’s Rain’ was about loss, I suppose ‘Hold the Dark’ is about getting even. Or maybe getting angry. It depends on who you ask. People who’ve read ‘Hold the Dark’ saw lots of things in there I didn’t realize I’d written. I think that’s a good thing, but ultimately the readers will decide that. There’s even some romance in this one.
Again, the ebook release date is April 19, and the print release will be in early 2020. Click here to see the preview page at Samhain.
