WAND RUSTMOOR
Magic lives in many places.
Of course, the places you hear about are the bustling, spired cities of fame and fable
-- Corsk, Annalannis, great Silla with its towers of glass and light. In these cities,
it seems, magic is around every corner, and intrigue walks every street.
But one can also find magic beyond the crowded streets and the twinkling lights of the great cities.
Many a weary wizard leaves the chaos of the crowds for the peace of the pastures, and finds that
magic is no less prized among cabbage-farmers than it is in the halls of the high and the mighty.
The Wand Rustmoor was wielded by just such a wizard!
For two centuries, Rustmoor was an integral and respected part of the hard-working farming
communities that dot the rolling hills of Nitting End (World Std. Desig. EE-Alpha 4435 Hex Nine Spin Delta Azure).
During Rustmoor's long service there, the Wand Rustmoor encountered a range of arcane
challenges and magical tasks seldom seen even among the most renowned of city wizards.
Sick milk-cows were healed. Lame goats were given new strength. Hailstorms were
diverted. Summer grass fires were quenched. The bites of serpents were healed.
Ravenous mountain dragons, half-starved from a winter spent in slumber, were repelled
by Rustmoor each and every spring. Haunts were laid to rest. Early frosts were foretold,
and crops were saved. Twice, the River Band was held within its banks when spring
rains brought sudden floods. In the summer of 1967 (Standard Adjusted Calendar),
an invasion by some 4,000 carnivorous hill trolls was turned back by a day-long barrage of lightning called down, bolt by earth-shaking bolt, by
Rustmoor.
And now the Wand Rustmoor, retired but still magically charged and fully functional, can be yours!
Collectors of magical implements will immediately recognize Wand Rustmoor as a classic Type III
linear discharge wand. Few Type III wands, however, feature a full 22-turn hex
directive shaft, or a triple-skewed radiant haft designed to shield the user's hand from stray thermal
bursts while simultaneously adding a 3 mT boost to all directed spellworks.
Especially suited for nighttime or Lunar-centered arcane workings, Rustmoor
nevertheless excels at daytime duty, too.
Crafted of fine rosewood, Rustmoor is a cheerful but steadfast Wand eager to
project the most delicate and the most robust spells with equal ease and grace.
Even the casual observer will be awed by Rustmoor's hand-polished glow, which was only achieved after
years of daily use!
Rustmoor is a work of art inside and out. Few wands of any Type can boast qualities such as these:
Max Discharge Rate
mT/sec: 766
Max Imbdued Capacity
mT: 1.87 X 10Ð9
Inherent BÄ
mT/dT: 1.98 aT
Lateral Df (2 mt Adj)
3mm/1m @ 450 mT
Effective T/Ht
20:ø:4 < 10MT
Coupled with a Hex designation of nine-nine violet, Rustmoor's attributes reveal a formidable Wand indeed!
Rustmoor comes complete with the aged wand Chest shown. Constructed of weathered Snog Valley
loblolly pine and hand-hammered iron, the Chest is itself a work of rough-hewn country art.
Decorated inside and out with a traditional Lunar theme, Rustmoor's Chest
is made of wood said to be at least a century older than Rustmoor itself. Tradition holds that the wood
used in the Chest
Each of the square-headed nails and Dwarvish turning-screws was set with a Spell of Longevity,
and the iron from which each was forged had various and sundry Earth Incantations
spoken over it as it cooled. Thus, your Chest is deeply attuned to the Earth itself, with an added
layer of protection from elemental influences due to the presence of iron in the bands and nails.
The interior lid of the Chest is decorated with aged iron celestial symbols, which tradition holds
were added by the children of the village Noxord after Wizard Gadbend used Rustmoor
to sent a whirlwind soaring harmlessly into the heavens during an intense
spring thunderstorm in Adjusted year 1945.
The hinges are made of genuine Dwarvish iron, mined from the the feet of the Forlorn themselves.
The Chest has absorbed so much residual magic from its long association with Wand Rustmoor
that it is itself classified as a Magical Artifact, rating a 2 on the Mercantor Scale
and making the Chest and Wand truly inseparable.
Rustmoor and Chest come with our thousand-year Warranty against thaumaturgic or arcanic eruption,
against motile quantum emittance, and against magical thermal accumulations of greater than 15
degrees Celsius/millithaum.
You also get Frank's personal ten-day money back guarantee;
if Rustmoor, when received, is not to your liking, simply return Chest and Wand intact and in the original
packing within ten days of receipt and you'll get your money back. No hassles, no questions, just
a swift and cheerful refund.
The buyer will receive the Wand, Chest, and, of course,
Frank's risk-free guarantee of satisfaction, stated above.
Wand Rustmoor and Case is a one-of-a-kind piece of truly magical art. It will
never be reproduced, never be mass-produced, never be mistaken for anything
but an item hailing from another more wondrous world.
