Q: Is there an order in which I should read the Markhat books?
A: No. I mean yes. Well, sort of. Here's what I always suggest -- start with The Cadaver Client. Then read Dead Man's Rain and The Mister Trophy (you can get all these in print in The Markhat Files anthology). Then read Hold the Dark, and then The Banshee's Walk, and then The Broken Bell. But don't worry -- if you start out of order you'll quickly catch up! Q: When I search you on Amazon or Google I find two Frank Tuttles, and one of them is a dead Hollywood actor and director. What gives? A: It's easy to tell us apart. I'm not the dead guy. But he was very talented! I've never been to Hollywood or directed any movies, except under my psuedonymn 'Peter Jackson.' Q: Are you ever going to reveal Markhat's first name? Or is Markhat his first name? Do you even know his first name? A: Maybe. No. Yes. Q: Is there a secret to getting published? A: No. Work hard, write every day, know the markets. Keep at it. |
