“Hold the Dark” in Kindle format on Amazon!
Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009The full-blown Markhat novel, “Hold the Dark,” will be out in print in February of next year. I just got the last set of proofs from the publisher, and it looks great.
But if you own a Kindle e-book reader, you can grab a copy right now, by clicking here.
And I certainly won’t stop you from buying both a paper copy and an electronic version. Too, if you want the e-book but don’t have a Kindle, just grab an electronic copy straight from the publisher; they offer it in a dozen formats, just pick the one that suits you by clicking
here.
And in other Markhat news, I recently finished a brand new Markhat adventure, and it’s been picked up by the folks at Samhain Publishing! So look for ‘The Cadaver Client’ to debut in early 2010 as well.
You can almost see me grinning, can’t you? I am. I love writing the Markhat stories and books, and readers seem to enjoy them. I imagine I’ll be putting out several more entries in the series — heck, I’ve got a new novel halfway done, and the novel after it is already titled and has a rough outline waiting for me to flesh it out.
I am considering making one major change to Markhat’s world, but that won’t surface for a couple of books yet. And no, I won’t tell what it is. Unless someone asks. Then I’d probably blab the whole thing.
In non-writing news, we have a new addition to our family of dogs. He’s Lucky, a stray some kind-hearted student-workers rescued from a busy highway. I brought him home this afternoon, and he’s already one of the pack. Right now Lucky and Jake are playing an endless game of tag back and forth across the back field.
There is nothing happier than a happy dog. Whatever Lucky was, wherever he came from, that’s all behind him now. He’s got buddies and a food and water and a big safe place to play and romp and laze, as he sees fit.
Dogs don’t carry much baggage. We primates could take a hint from that, I think.
That’s my world tonight! Hope you’re all well and happy too.
