Stunning New Revelations, not just more rambling about book signings.

First, a reminder about the Off Square Books signing party. It’s February 2nd, at 5:00 PM. I’ll shut up in time to get you home for the season premiere of ‘Lost,’ I promise!

And if you can’t make that one, shoot for the Barnes and Noble signing in the Ole Miss bookstore on Thursday the 4th. That one is at noon. The first 10 people to get books signed there get signed books. The first twenty get the same thing. And with every purchase of a copy of ‘Hold the Dark’ at the regular price, you get to pay half of twice the price!

That’s quite a bargain, as long as you don’t think about it too much. So don’t. Look, here’s something shiny!

The new novel is bumping along pretty well. I just slapped down another thousand words tonight, which isn’t bad, and it’s early enough that I won’t even need to miss ‘Heroes.’

In other news, the members of a local paranormal research group have graciously allowed me into their presence. I haven’t been on an actual investigation yet, but I’m really looking forward to going on one. I’ve been collecting gear for a while now – I’ve even got a K2 meter, the well-loved box with the lights featured on ‘Ghost Hunters.’ I haven’t found any wandering spirits with it yet, but I can say without hesitation that you really do need to take an extra step or two away from your microwave oven. When it’s on, it lights up the K2 from four feet away.

Cell phones do the same thing, albeit at lesser distances. I still don’t feel comfortable keeping a cell phone to my head for more than a minute or two at a time, every now and then.

Hmmm, I’ve babbled about the signings, and blabbed about the book, so I guess I’m done here, for today. Take care all! And remember, every book you buy puts cash right in my pocket. Um. What I *meant* to say was something vague and uplifting about supporting the literary arts for the benefit of all mankind. Yeah, that sounds better. So do that one.

Goodnight!
